Life of Pi,  based on Yann Martell’s bestselling novel, arrives in theaters November 21. Just in time for the Thanksgiving weekend. I have heard wonderful things about the novel from people who have read it and they are equally as excited for the movie.

About the movie:

With LIFE OF PI, director Ang Lee (“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”) creates a groundbreaking movie event about a young man who survives a disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with another survivor…a fearsome Bengal tiger.

Even watching the trailer you can that this is a visually stunning and extremely interesting movie.  A movie not like any other out there.  I think I’ll take Hunter to see it because I think he’ll like it.  I also want to read the book and have him read it as well. This movie is rated PG  so if you’re looking for a movie that both you and the kids can enjoy you should check this out this weekend.
